The 2022 Skills USA Automotive Service Technology will be held at the SLCC Miller Campus (9750 so. 300 West, Sandy Ut.) MATC Building is the farthest south building on the campus.
The competition will be held in two shifts. The first will begin at 8am and the second will start at noon. Once the contest starts the doors close and no one is admitted late, so arrive early.
The competition will be held March 25 only. Advisors were emailed on 3/16/22 10:58am regarding the pre test, being taken online.
Students competing will need to bring a resume (one copy) and a current Sp/2 safety training certificate. Sp/2 is also a requirement for competing at Skills USA Nationals.
For those programs that use a different instrument for safety training, the State Director has made an allowance: Those schools that don't use Sp/2, can document their method for safety training on their School or District letter head in place of the Sp/2 certification.
Competitors need to wear the required clothing, refer to the national website for options.
An internet access pass-word will be made available during the competition for advisors.
There will not be a tie-break test. One station will be designated prior to the competition and that score will be used to break the tie.
Lunch boxes will be served at noon in classroom 216.
Classroom MATC 216 will also be the area used for contestants to wait.
