Restaurant Service Competitors:
Below is the menu for the competition. In addition to the menu, there will be one chef's special (not listed on the menu) that you will need to be able to tell customers about (name of dish, components, price, allergens, etc)

Chef's Special - Jamaican Oxtail Stew - $23.45
A savory, slow-cooked classic, Jamaican Oxtail Stew is packed with bold flavors and tender, melt-in-your-mouth oxtail. Galette: Medium dice the apples for judging and galette filling

Cake: Buttercream vs bettercreme. Based on availability, competitors should be prepared to use either

1. Steps of service should include:
  • Greet guests
  • Seat guests: place settings should match the number of guests, once guests are seated
  • Take orders
  • Up-sale menu items
  • Serve food and drinks
  • Check back
  • Clear tables: as needed
  • Offer dessert
  • Present bill and collect payment
  • Thank guests
2. Menu release date: 3/13/25
3. Competitors will have time to mise en place guacamole and mocktail prior to that portion of the competition.

Welding individual

The date of the event will be March 27, at 8am and run in it's entirety till approximately 4pm lunch will be provided on the 27th. Judging if the widgets will take place in the 28th More details to follow on the schedule of the event.

​The prints and WPS’s for the project assemblies will be given the morning of the 27th.

The welded steel assembly will consist of the following welding processes: SMAW (6010 &7018 Electrodes), GMAW-Short Circuit, FCAW-G. Material thicknesses and grade will be 1/4" and 3/8” utilizing A36 or similar alloy steel and will be laser cut. Welding positions will be as follows: 2F, 3F, 4F, 5F, 1G Slot, and 2G single bevel open root. There will also be single pass and multi pass fillet welds.

The welded aluminum assembly material will be 9ga 6061. It will be welded by GTAW and be fillet welds only.

The OFC portion will be cut from 3/8” steel and will have several common shapes to be cut out of the center and will require that a template piece to pass through the cut outs. All edges of the OFC project are required to be cut
