How to access technical standards
- PLEASE follow the Virtual Technical Standards for each contest.
- We cannot stress this enough. The judges follow the Technical Standards as close as possible when scoring to best prepare students for Nationals.
- SkillsUSA has made changes to some of the Technical Standards from Previous years. Be sure to download the CURRENT technical standards. Instructions for where to locate them are available through SkillsUSA Absorb.
- Advisors must be registered as a Professional Member of SkillsUSA to have access to the technical standards.
- Clothing Requirements can also be found though the Technical Standards page.

Test 1 of 2: The Professional Development Test is one of two tests that are required to be completed prior to arriving at ULSC. The SkillsUSA Professional Development test will be conducted pre-conference via the SkillsUSA Online Testing Platform; Individual log-in information and specific directions will be provided to Students by March 8th and will be open until March 22nd 11:59 PM. No further testing will be allowed after March 22nd. Tests will be proctored at the local chapter by a teacher, school administrator, or local industry partner. The Professional Development Test is worth 25 points out of the overall score for each contest. All high school and college/postsecondary competitors are required to complete the SkillsUSA Professional Development Test, except for those entered in Action Skills, Building Maintenance, Community Action Project, and Employment Application Process. As a reminder, all middle school competitors are exempt from the national online resume and SkillsUSA Professional Development Test.

This test will also be conducted online via the pre-conference SkillsUSA Online Testing Platform. Individual log-in information and specific directions will be provided to Students by March 8th and will be open until March 22nd 11:59 PM. No further testing will be allowed after March 22nd. Tests will be proctored at the local chapter by a teacher, school administrator, or local industry partner. The technical Assessment will be worth 75 points out of the overall score for each contest.
General schedule, maps, and Parking Information
Awards Ceremony will be Friday, March 29th, 2024 at 6:00 PM. Located at the SLCC Redwood Campus Lifetime Activities Center (LAC) Arena
Parking Info: March 28th and 29th: There are no ticket days on Salt Lake Community College campuses: Redwood, Westpointe, South City and Miller. All guests will need to park in Student Parking. These are yellow lined areas. If anyone parks in a pay lot, they will be responsible for the fees/ticket.
Resume and rELEASE foRM sUBMISSION
All contestants are required to submit a resume and a release form. Submissions due by Friday March 22nd. Failure to turn in a resume will result in 10 point deduction from the total scorecard.

Apply to be a state Officer/ Call for School Delegates
Utah’s State Officer Program includes training that will help students become their best; it is designed
to provide unique opportunities to students that want to be leaders. SkillsUSA State Officer accepted
officer applicants will be added to a ballot and are permitted to campaign at the state conference held
March 28 & 29. Officers will be elected by student delegates and announced at the awards session of
the state conference. Do you think you have what it takes? The application for becoming a state officer can be found here.
Voting will take place during the Delegate Session(Meet the Candidates/Voting and Business Meeting) at 2:30 PM located in the Lifetime Activities Center (LAC) Arena on Friday March 29th, 2024.
